We recently had the pleasure of contributing to the fit-out of Firebaby Restaurant in Southport, Gold Coast. Working alongside TW Image, our team crafted a series of bespoke concrete pieces designed to balance durability with high-end design.

Hospitality spaces demand materials that not only look striking but also withstand heavy daily use. For this project, we were engaged to supply custom benchtops, terrazzo dining tables, and bathroom vanities that would elevate the restaurant’s interior while remaining practical for a busy dining environment.

The Brief

The Firebaby concept called for a bold, contemporary interior with tactile finishes and timeless appeal. Concrete was the perfect choice - versatile, strong, and capable of being customised to suit the design vision.

Our Solution

Edje Concrete supplied and installed a collection of handcrafted pieces throughout the venue, including:

• Concrete Benchtops in our signature trowel finish, providing a natural, refined texture.

• Terrazzo Outdoor Dining Tables designed for durability with a polished finish that stands out against the restaurant’s warm tones.

• Polished Concrete Bathroom Vanities, balancing form and function for a clean, modern feel.

Every element was custom-made using our GFRC concrete process to ensure strength without unnecessary weight, making installation smoother and the pieces longer-lasting.

The Result

The finished fit-out showcases how concrete can be more than just a building material - it becomes a design statement. Firebaby’s interiors now feature surfaces that are bold yet refined, blending seamlessly into the restaurant’s overall aesthetic while offering practicality for everyday use.
