Stronger, Smarter Concrete

Why gfrc?

Glass Fibre Reinforced Concrete (GFRC) is engineered to be lighter, stronger, and more versatile than traditional concrete. This means we can create large, seamless pieces that are durable yet easier to install.

Benefits of Choosing Our GFRC

1. Minimal Mess On Site

Unlike traditional concrete, which is often poured, cut, or finished in place, all of our work is completed in our workshop. Every piece is cast, polished or trowelled, and fully sealed before leaving our factory. By the time it arrives on site, it’s ready to install - cutting out dust, slurry, and disruption for your build or renovation.

2. Lighter Weight, Easier Handling

GFRC is up to 70% lighter than standard concrete of the same thickness, meaning less strain on supporting structures and easier manoeuvrability during installation. This makes it perfect for everything from floating vanities to oversized kitchen islands.

3. High Strength & Durability

The addition of glass fibres gives GFRC exceptional tensile strength. It resists cracking, chipping, and movement better than traditional concrete, which is especially important in high-use areas like benchtops and vanities.

4. Precision Finishes

Because pieces are workshop-made, you get consistent finishes - whether you prefer raw trowel texture, a smooth polished look, or terrazzo. Every piece is quality checked before delivery.

5. Sealed & Protected

Each item is sealed in-house with a premium sealer system. This ensures stain resistance, protection against water absorption, and easy maintenance from day one.

The Edje Difference

When you choose Edje, you’re not just getting concrete - you’re getting a workshop-made, site-ready piece that integrates seamlessly into your space. Faster installs, no site mess, and concrete finishes you can’t achieve with traditional methods.

Concrete, without the compromise

With GFRC, you get the strength of concrete without the mess, delays, or limitations of traditional pours. Every piece is designed, crafted, and sealed in our Gold Coast workshop - ready to be installed straight into your project.
