Warranty

At Edje Concrete, we stand behind the quality of our handcrafted products. We’re proud to offer a warranty designed to give our customers peace of mind when purchasing our concrete pieces.

Warranty Coverage

Edje Concrete warrants that the concrete component of our products will be free from defects in workmanship and materials for a period of 24 months from the date of delivery, provided they are used in accordance with our intended purpose, installation guidelines, and Care & Maintenance instructions.

This warranty covers the concrete only.
It does not cover any sealers, coatings, or surface treatments, as these naturally wear over time and their longevity depends heavily on user care, environment, cleaning products, and general use.

Customer Responsibilities

To make a warranty claim, customers must:

Ensure payment for the goods has been made in full.
Notify Edje Concrete of any apparent defects within five business days of discovering them.
Submit any warranty claim within the 24-month warranty period.
Allow Edje Concrete to inspect the goods at their installed or usual location.

Limitation of Warranty

This warranty applies only to defects that arise during normal and intended use of our products.
It does not cover issues resulting from misuse, neglect, incorrect installation, incorrect care, or circumstances outside our control.

Warranty Exclusions

This warranty does not cover:

General Exclusions

Structural or surface damage from improper use or abuse.
Discolouration or cracking resulting from:
- Normal wear and tear.
- Use beyond the intended purpose.
- Mishandling, impact, or physical abuse.
- Excessive heat or uneven weather exposure.
- Thermal shock from placing hot items directly on concrete.
Failure to follow Edje Concrete’s installation guidelines.
Non-compliance with Care & Maintenance instructions.
Accidental damage.
Chips or impact damage.
Excessive pressure from sitting, standing, or placing heavy objects (including fireplaces without adequate support).
Scratches from insufficient care, including dragging objects or not using cutting boards.
Stains from improper maintenance, including failing to promptly wipe spills.
Hairline cracks (generally <1 mm) that are a natural characteristic of concrete.
Natural variations in colour, shading, texture, air pockets, or pinholes.

Sealer-Specific Exclusions

Our warranty does not cover the sealer under any circumstances.

Damage, discolouration, or deterioration of sealer caused by:

Regular wear and tear.
Staining due to tinted products (such as makeup, hair dye etc.)
Abrasive, acidic, alkaline, or chemical cleaners.
Acidic silicone used during installation (neutral cure silicone MUST be used)
Standing water.
Failure to maintain or clean correctly.
Scratches
Delamination due to the use of tapes or adhesives

Installation & Structural Exclusions

Cracking caused by overtightened or incorrectly installed wastes.
Issues caused by un-level cabinetry or inadequate support.
Damage occurring during physical relocation of the product.
Modifications, repairs, or refinishing by anyone other than Edje Concrete.

Environmental & External Factors

Fire, lightning, flooding, or other natural or man-made hazards.

Transport and Installation

Products not installed or transported by Edje Concrete are done so at the customer’s own risk.
Edje Concrete cannot be held liable for any damages arising from incorrect installation or transportation by third parties.

Additional Costs

Edje Concrete is not responsible for any associated costs such as:

Plumbing or electrical works.
Cabinetry or structural adjustments.
Flooring or tiling.
Damage to vanities or structures during removal or reinstallation.

Handcrafted Nature of Concrete

All Edje Concrete products are individually handcrafted.
Variations in colour, texture, pinholes, surface finish, and shading are inherent features of concrete and are not considered defects.
Samples and showroom pieces are a guide only.
